This calf comes from a great cow. He is wide across the pins and deep in the ribs. This calf might be a sleeper come sale day and a good buy at that. He is sired by one of our herd sires and there is nothing wrong with that. His dad is so long you need a 24' trailer just to haul him around.

F1 cross is what you need to think about when looking at this heifer. 1/2 and 1/2 made cows have a lot to add when it comes to a commercial herd. They are more fertile than a pure bred cow and are more resistant to sickness. Cross bred cows have 2 more calves in their lifetime on average. These are very important things to keep in mind when selecting replacement heifers. This particular heifer is smooth in her design and will stay moderate in size.
